Internacional (Marketwired, 01 de Agosto de 2013) Report From Local Search Leader Will Provide Snapshots and Insights Collected From Hispanic ConsumersYaSabe, the leading local and mobile search destination catering to U.S. Hispanics, today published its first issue of Hispanic Insights, a quarterly report for local businesses and national brands that want to reach local Hispanic consumers. The report will help businesses design and provide relevant products and services, and special offers that appeal to the growing segment of Hispanic consumers in the United States. The inaugural issue highlights how U.S. Hispanics celebrate and make purchasing decisions around various holidays and special events including Cinco de Mayo, Quinceañeras (15th birthday), Dia de la Hispanidad (Columbus Day) and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

"Hispanic consumerism is on display at YaSabe," said YaSabe CEO Zubair Talib. "We want to provide actionable insights to help businesses, large and small, make better decisions about what matters to Hispanic consumers."

The first installment focuses on celebrations and presents data from six online surveys conducted on the YaSabe website, representing the views of thousands of participants. The company asked users how they celebrated the various holidays and special occasions and what buying decisions were made as a result. Interesting data from the report includes:

71% of U.S. Hispanics polled reported that they or a family member bought their quinceañera dress from a department or bridal store, while the remainder borrowed from friends and family;
Over 70% of Hispanics celebrate various Latin holidays (Cinco de Mayo, Dia de los Muertos, etc.), while more than 67% celebrate the Fourth of July and 41% celebrate the Independence Day of other countries;
One-third of Hispanics spend more than $40 to celebrate Cinco de Mayo;
36% of respondents gave money as a gift for a quinceañera, while 18% bought electronics and another 15% reported giving jewelry;
Restaurants are big recipients of U.S. Hispanic celebrations — close to 38% of quinceañera are celebrated in a restaurant along with 18% for Cinco de Mayo;
Dia de los Muertos is celebrated by close to 30% of respondents.
